Hello Dolly (2007)
Dolly Levi, born Gallagher, earns her living by "meddling" in other people's lives. We find her travelling between New York and Yonkers arranging the second marriage of Horace Vandergelder a rich businessman from Yonkers. However we soon discover she actually has her eye on him to be her own second husband. Vandergelder has taken a shine to Irene Molloy, a pretty young widow who owns a hat shop in New York, introduced to him by Dolly. Dolly then has to devise a plan to persuade Horace that Mrs Molloy is not the one for him. Cornelius and Barnaby (who both work for Vandergelder), Ermengarde (Vandergelder's neice) and Ambrose (Ermengarde's beau) all get tangled up in the scheme and choas ensues. During all of this, Dolly is waiting for a "sign" from her late husband Ephraim that he approves of the marriage. Will Dolly get her man and her sign? Will Vandergelder allow Ermengarde to marry Ambrose? Will Cornelius and Barnaby get the adventure they long for? Will Mrs Molloy find someone to take her away from the millinery business? Say "Hello Dolly" and watch as she pulls all the strings to get her own way.
